    • Sleep Quality
    • Hinders to stay asleep
    • Duration of sleep

Everyone can experience sleep problems that can be managed by a zopiclone sleeping tablet.

    Who can take zopiclone

If you are 18 and above, the doctor prescribes zopiclone as a licensed medicine with difficulty getting sleep. There is only less research about the effectiveness and use in young people under 18. Specialists may prescribe it off-label if they believe it is the best medicine.

    How long does Zopiclone last?

Zopiclone takes effect quickly in the body. You can start feeling sleepy soon after taking it. A person’s weight isn’t affected by the zopiclone.

    Can kids take zopiclone?

Zopiclone is not suggested for children. Prolonged use of hypnotics is not suggested for the elderly as well. The cause of insomnia must not be identified when possible and the underlying factors treated before hypnosis is prescribed. Zopiclone should be prescribed for only short-term, 7-14 days.

    Who can’t take zopiclone?

Zopiclone is not suitable for some other people. To ensure safe for you, ask the doctor if you have these

    • Allergic reaction to zopiclone
    • Kidney or liver problems
    • With myasthenia gravis
    • Breathing problems
    • Mental health problems
    • Drug abuse

Trying to get pregnant, breastfeeding or pregnant

So, if you have these health conditions, zopiclone is not advisable for you.

When and how to take zopiclone

Zopiclone tablets are available in 2 different strengths, such as:

    • 75mg
    • 5mg

The usual dose is the stronger one, a 7.5mg tablet that is taken before going to bed. It takes around 1 hour before zopiclone takes effect. The lower dose, 3.75mg, is recommended to begin with if you are over 65 years old or with liver or kidney problems. You should take a lower dose in these cases as it reduces the risk of excessive sleepiness and some other side effects.

It is essential to take zopiclone exactly as the doctor told you. The doctor may ask about taking a tablet on only 2 or 3 nights every week rather than every night. Taking the tablet must be swallowed right away, don’t chew or crush it. Zopiclone is safe to take with or without food.

So, you should not worry if you have not eaten any meal for the day. The medicine is safe to take if you have still not eaten any food. You will usually be prescribed zopiclone for 15 to 30 days. It is because the body gets used to the medicine easily, and after this time it is unlikely to have a similar effect. The body may also become dependent on this medicine.
