Acquiring custom custom orthotics and prosthetics for the upper and lower limbs is possible free of charge through the accessibility and inclusion programs of the Unified Health System – SUS and the National Social Security Institute – INSS.
In addition to orthopedic prostheses, the SUS provides vests, insoles, orthopedic shoes, adapted wheelchairs, canes, crutches, walkers, devices that correct hearing disorders, mobility aids (OPM), and other devices for people with disabilities.
The INSS must provide prosthetic devices, orthosis, and mobility aids as the Social Security Benefits Law provides.
